MC3-HSED
Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership, Inc
09/19/2017
The 5.09 HSED program is aligned with the Common Core State Standards (www.commoncore.org). These standards have been implemented throughout the United States as a more cohesive approach to education with parallel structure from state to state. The standards were also created so that learners are being prepared to think critically and reflect on their learning in preparation for an apprenticeship. The Common Core State Standards serve as the specific learning objectives and are a guide to the instructional and assessment approaches that will be taken to meet the objectives set. The MC3 curriculum is a standardized, comprehensive 120-hour construction curriculum designed to help people chose and succeed in the apprenticeship program that is appropriate for them. This will allow learners to apply their knowledge through projects, alternative assessments, hands-on learning modules, and experiential learning. Show More

To qualify for apprenticeship in Wisconsin having high school graduation is a requirement for most employers/trades. Layering this training with high school graduation equivalency and nationally recognized entry level construction skills training develops a qualified career pathway for those completing. The MC3-HSED is a unique way to bridge those in need of a high school diploma directly to a pathway for apprenticeship within the construction building trades. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to earn their high school equivalency diploma by completing a curriculum based on competencies aligned with the nationally recognized and implemented Common Core State Standards alongside the North American Building Trades Unions Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3).
WRTP/BIG STEP in partnership with their labor/management board of directors, steering committees, relationships with employers and JATC/JAC's have connections to connect individuals into their career pathway in construction or manufacturing.
Additional resources will be made with instruction if needed to help be successful within the program.

MC3 Certification (North America’s Building Trades Unions) = $100.00Union Initiation Fee = varies by trade, approximately $125.00

PLEASE NOTE:

If there are fewer than eight enrollments in the training program, only the "Enrollments" number will be displayed; all other data is hidden in order to help protect the students' identities. The "Employment Outcomes" are calculated using information from Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Wage database. Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
