About the Program The Information Technology Help Desk Support Specialist technical diploma prepares students to provide support for a wide-range of technical issues. Students learn how to troubleshoot issues related to software, hardware, or computer systems. Graduates are prepared for entry-level information technology jobs that involve providing technical support and assistance. An emphasis is placed on customer service and communication skills. What You'll Learn Students learn how to manage various IT projects and consult with staff, users and management when needed. Students will also earn the Google IT Support Certificate. Graduates are skilled in providing technical assistance and answering inquiries to resolve issues. Students also learn the importance of creating and maintaining training and other documentation. This program is offered

Program applications are accepted until a week prior to the start of each semester. There are some exceptions for programs or certificates that begin mid-semester. Some high-demand/limited-enrollment programs reach capacity based on the number of students who complete admission. Applicants are accepted into limited-enrollment programs on a first-come, first-served basis and are admitted from program waitlists as space becomes available.
All courses directly transfer to the Information Technology - Technical Support Specialist Associate Degree.
Advisory board committee members from area businesses provide guidance and direction on curriculum and program outcomes.
Moraine Park offers Employment Services and Career Services to students.
Tutoring is available online and face to face for our students.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
