Mid-State Technical College
Unique in the Wisconsin Technical College System, the Corrections & Community Advocacy program at Mid-State teaches the operations and management of adult/juvenile correctional institutions, probation/ parole, community advocacy agencies, special needs populations, alcohol and other drug abuse, and mental health services. Graduates may work in jails, prisons, juvenile detention facilities, halfway houses, and shelter care facilities as well as in the court system. Experienced faculty emphasize professionalism and integrity needed to work in these settings. You ll experience a blend of classroom theory, simulation, and occupational observation, setting you up for success in this field. Mid-State aims to offer several approaches to tutoring to ensure that students have options that fit their learning needs including lab-based, one-one-one, group, and online. Tutoring services are no cost to currently enrolled students.

Refunds are issued per the official refund schedule available at any Student Services Information Center. Refund amounts are determined by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Refund Policy and federal financial aid regulations. Refunds will be issued to the student unless a documented third-party sponsorship or contract exists. In such cases the refund will be returned to the sponsor or contracting party.

PLEASE NOTE:

Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
