Moraine Park's Civil Engineering Technician - Structural associate of applied science program provides the knowledge and experience in planning and design that are needed in the construction industry today. Serve as a team support member to engineers, architects, surveyors, and mechanical contractors to help plan and design the construction of buildings, highways, bridges, utilities and other major infrastructure projects. Students apply computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) skills to architectural, structural and related designs.
Graduates may find employment with civil engineering firms, architectural firms, contractors, surveyors, municipalities and public utilities.

A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.
This program is offered
Program applications are accepted until a week prior to the start of each semester. There are some exceptions for programs or certificates that begin mid-semester.
Some high-demand/limited-enrollment programs reach capacity based on the number of students who complete admission. Applicants are accepted into limited-enrollment programs on a first-come, first-served basis and are admitted from program waitlists as space becomes available.
Advisory board committee members from area businesses provide guidance and direction on curriculum and program outcomes.
Moraine Park offers Employment Services and Career Services to students.
Tutoring is available online and face to face for our students.
Additional fees will include books, supplies/materials and online course fees (if taking online courses).
