Worker's Compensation Advisory Council - Permanent Total Disability Committee

The WCAC created a Permanent Total Disability Rate Study Committee which reviewed the benefit rates that are paid to employees who are permanently and totally disabled from work-related injuries. That Committee made recommendations through the past “Agreed Upon Bill” process which affected changes and provides for increases in supplemental benefits. The increases affect injuries occurring before January 1, 1985 effective January 1, 2006 and injuries prior to January 1, 1987 effective January 1, 2007. 

The Committee has been reestablished to determine ways of funding an additional increase of 3 years and future increases. The intent is to have a special bill developed to send to the legislature for passage in 2007.
