A welcome note from DWD Secretary Roberta Gassman

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the homepage of the DWD Virtual Veterans Website.

Today, and all throughout our county's history, veterans have played a crucial role in creating and defending our nation.  Indeed, we would not be here today were it not for the brave soldiers who have taken up arms to guard and protect us against those who would do us harm.

Unfortunately many service members, when they leave the military, have trouble finding suitable civilian employment.  This is where DWD, in conjunction with other state, local and federal agencies, can help.

Through our veteran's service programs we can help former military personnel connect with employers, education and training programs, or other agencies that will ultimately help them meet their employment needs.

I encourage you to take some time to look at our site and explore the services offered to veterans.
