Request for Tax Rates

Beginning in October 2007, we will no longer provide Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax rates over the phone to third party employer agents.

Agents looking for their client's tax rate should do one of the following:

• Use our internet reporting application (Tax and Wage Reports) to file the report
• Obtain the rate from their client
• Submit an electronic file (see acceptable media) of their client UI account numbers that we can return with the tax rates. See How to Submit an Electronic File below, you must submit your request via media, we cannot accept an email request.

Employers and agents with online access can also view account information, including tax rates, using the 'Employer UI Account Information' link in the Employer Services section of Unemployment Insurance (UI) website http://unemployment.wisconsin.gov.

How to Submit an Electronic File

1. All requestors must submit a compact disc or 3-½ inch diskette in the proper format.



2. The CD or diskette must be addressed to:

3. Return postage must be provided by the requestor.  Note - Please allow postage for two compact discs if requests are submitted using that media.
