Beginning in October 2007, we will no longer provide Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax rates over the phone to third party employer agents.
Agents looking for their client's tax rate should do one of the following:
Under current UI law, agents who prepare reports for 25 or more clients are required to have the reports filed electronically. In addition, agents who prepare reports for less than 25 clients are required to have the reports submitted through our internet reporting application. Employer tax rates are automatically provided as part of that application.
Through technology, we are continuing to develop new methods for employers and agents to electronically submit and/or transmit their reports. We are also developing methods where employers and agents will be able to access account information including tax rates on-line. We will keep you updated as these methods become available.
If you have any questions, please call us at (608) 261-6700.
