Frigo called the meeting to order, noted Lump was unable to attend the full meeting, but he had left a phone number where he could be contacted if his vote was needed. Frigo congratulated Kho on her impending marriage.
Frigo asked for changes to Sep. 9, 2003 UIAC meeting minutes. Lyons offered corrections. Changes will be made and the minutes will be returned for approval at the next meeting.
Frigo asked if Council members were prepared to act on any of the proposals or if they preferred to caucus first. Closed caucus was moved and seconded. Frigo announced the reason for the closed caucus and the authority pursuant to state statute ยง 19.85(1)(ee). Buchen, Petersen, Gustafson, Oyler, Neuenfeldt, Platz, Penkalski, Bolton and Lyons approved closed caucus to discuss law change proposals.
When the Council reconvened, Frigo noted the need to schedule another meeting and urged it be scheduled as quickly as possible. Council members commented on their availability during Oct. 1-9. Frigo offered Sept. 30. Oyler noted he was unable to attend but would be reachable by phone most of the day. Sept. 30, 9:30 was set for the next meeting.
