Wage Reporting on CD-ROM

Compact Disk Formats

We can process CD's in the following formats:

CD-R or CD-RW containing up to 700 MB of data

Disk Files

One or more wage report files may be submitted on the same CD, as long as each account in the file is identified by its correct UI Account Number. Do not use subdirectories. Please submit ASCII TEXT files only. Spreadsheet and database files [such as MS-Excel or MS-Access] must be converted to text files prior to submission.

File Names

Please use the first 6 digits of your UI account number* or an abbreviation of your company name.

Samples: 123456 or ABFOODS

File Content

Each file must be in one of the documented wage reporting formats, which includes your 10 digit UI account number, quarter/year, Social Security numbers, first and last names and gross wages for the quarter.

Each file may contain wage reports for one or more UI account numbers with data for each account grouped together. Files with unrecognized data will not be processed.

If you store the file using a data compression utility such as PKZIP or WinZip, please include the suffix .ZIP in your file name.

CD Case Label

The case or storage envelope in which the CD is mailed should be labeled with: Reporter Name, Quarter/Year, Reporter Contact Person & Phone Number, Reporter Mailing Address, UI Account Number*, File Format Record Length and Number of Employee Records Stored in File.
