Benefit Extensions to Continue Two Months
On December 23, 2011, the President signed into law a bill which would continue Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) and Extended Benefits (EB) an additional two months. Before this bill, EUC and EB were set to expire December 31, 2011.
To ensure the quickest possible payments, please continue to file your weekly UI claim if you remain unemployed.
- If you are receiving Regular Unemployment Insurance, providing up to 26 weeks of benefits, please click here.

If you are receiving Regular Unemployment Insurance:
You can continue receiving regular state unemployment benefits until your eligibility for those benefits ends. Those regular state benefits last a maximum of 26 total weeks. If you exhaust your regular state benefits after February 25, 2012, you will not be eligible for further UI benefits, such as EUC or EB, given current federal law.

Under federal law, EUC benefits are set to expire on March 3, 2012. You may continue to receive benefits from your current EUC tier until you exhaust that tier. When your eligibility for EUC benefits ends, you will not be eligible for further benefit extensions, given current federal law.

If you are receiving Extended Benefits (EB):
Under federal law, EB benefits are set to expire on March 10, 2012. After that date, EB benefits will no longer be available and you will have reached your maximum eligibility for benefit extensions.
