Wage information is available by occupation or industry.
The Occupational Employment Statistics survey, conducted annually in every state under the guidance of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, provides hourly wage data for many occupations in Wisconsin and metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs). The number of occupations varies by area depending on response rates. (See map for MSA configurations.)
May 2008 OES Wage Survey (Released May 2009)
The Office of Economic Advisors created nine Labor Supply Areas by grouping counties based on similar workforce patterns. Wages for occupations in these Labor Supply Areas were developed using the Electronic Delivery System (EDS) developed by the State of North Carolina and results from the OES survey.
Wages and employment reports from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW, ES-202). The data is collected quarterly and in some cases suppressed to protect the identity of specific employers. This information is reported by industry aggregation titles of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).
