Please note: In January 2005, Wisconsin's MSAs were redefined. All CES and LAUS data back to 1990 has been republished using the new MSA definitions.

- Duluth (Carlton and St. Louis/MN plus Douglas/WI)
- Chicago-Naperville-Joliet (Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will/IL plus Jasper, Lake, Newton and Porter/IN plus Kenosha/WI
