The Bureau of Migrant Labor Services (BMLS) creates a focal point to coordinate services to: all migrant workers; and employers who hire foreign and/or Limited English Proficient (LEP) workers.
The bureau enables the Department of Workforce Development to effectively mobilize all of its services on behalf of these target populations through staff training and support.
The bureau also serves employers more effectively by providing a coordinated response to employers seeking to hire foreign born workers, providing them with both qualified applicants and accurate information concerning required documentation, and best practices for hiring and retaining foreign born workers and migrants.
