Mission/Purpose
To develop and implement community wide strategies to improve the recognition, retention and recruitment of the long term care workforce.

Funding
Funding comes from membership dues and grants. The LTC Project Coordinator at the Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center provides support staff.
Schedule of Meetings
The Alliance meets on the third Tuesday on a bimonthly basis. The executive committee holds meeting on a bimonthly basis opposite the Alliance. The standing committees meet quarterly or as requested by the chairman.

- The Kenosha County LTC Workforce Alliance provides
- Free community-wide training opportunities for LTC supervisors and direct care staff
- Free monthly publications for administration and Free educational newsletters for direct care staff
- Annual recognition luncheon for direct care workers
- Annual Spring Legislative breakfast and Fall candidate forums
- Recruitment through a "Make A Difference" image campaign. This hot-line provides opportunities for job seekers to receive information on job opportunities and provides access to a directory of LTC providers
- Forums to discuss and develop initiatives to address the LTC Workforce
- Up-to-date information on state and national initiatives and policies which affect the LTC workforce. Alliance members sit on state government committees, provider organizations, and statewide alliances
- Community-wide recognition of the long term care industry
Racine County Caregivers Alliance
Mission/Purpose
The Racine Caregiver’s Alliance began as a spin-off of the Racine County Long Term Support Committee in 2000. The mission of the Alliance is to promote recruitment, retention, and recognition of long term care workers in Racine County in order to ensure quality long term care for all adults is provided.
Leadership
No formal leadership in the Coalition. All decisions are made by the committee. Debby Capener serves as staff liaison.

Funding
Initial funding for the Coalition was provided by a Community Links grants from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services. Current funding is provided by registration fees, as well as in-kind contribution from member agencies.

The Alliance meets on the 3rd Thursday of each quarter.
Highlights
- The Caregiver’s Alliance is currently sponsoring two leadership training courses supported by funds from the State Workforce Coalition. An evaluation note card was sent to each participating agency in order to garner positive feedback to our staff.
- Hold annual recognition luncheon with a speaker.
- Developed training programs targeting the area of caregiver stress, caring for yourself, and topics in career ladders.
- Provided networking and support to all member agencies and advertise member agencies at career fairs, job fairs, and other community events.
