Highlights

The Lakeshore Healthcare Alliance (LSHCA) has successfully formed a best practice, centrally operated, Job Shadow experience program for anyone considering a health career and desiring a view from inside.

Addressed community interest groups, focused on the need for health care employees, and provided information on the various health care careers and how to access education, including making health care careers available to all groups of people.

Also, the LSHCA has held workshops for counselors, enabling counselors to receive current information on health care careers so they can offer new information to potential students.

Sponsored a survey and identified the need for a local Bachelor of Science in Nursing and bachelor degrees that will advance health care employees performance and opportunities.

Linked with the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NWAHEC), located in Manitowoc, due to common missions.

Our first collaboration was the Health Careers Summer Camp which took place in July of 2005.
