Do I Need to Download a Template?

There are two ways to submit payroll data:

• Create and upload a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
• Enter payroll data online

Which method should I use?

If you decide to create and upload a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, you may choose to download a template, but you don't have to. The entire goal is to:

1. Create an Excel file that contains your data
2. Save the file to your computer
3. Log on to our website and upload the file

If you choose to submit data using an Excel spreadsheet, you first you need to create the spreadsheet, and that's where the template comes in. It's one of two ways to create the spreadsheet:

• You can download a template and then enter your data into the template
• You can download our Excel Spreadsheet Generator. This is a program that runs on your computer. To use it, you'd enter your data into the program and it creates the spreadsheet for you.
