Spreadsheets

If you use a spreadsheet to upload payroll data, you must use Microsoft Excel. The spreadsheet must be saved as a Microsoft Excel 97-Excel 2003 % 5.0/95 Workbook , which means the file extension will be .xls . To save the spreadsheet in a different format:

  1. Click File-Save As .
  2. At the bottom of the 'Save As' box, change the 'Save as type' to 'Microsoft Excel 97-Excel 2003 % 5.0/95 Workbook'.
  3. Click 'Save'.

Note: There are several versions of Microsoft Excel, and many of them default to the correct type of file. However, if you use Microsoft Office 2007, you must complete the steps above, or your file will default to a . xlsx extension and will not be accepted.

If you are a union employer and you are submitting a Collective Bargaining Agreement, the file must be a PDF .
