UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE ADVISORY COUNCIL

Dane County Job Center
1801 Aberg Avenue
Madison, WI

Thursday, September 26, 2002

1:00 p.m.

The Department of Workforce Development regrets it must cancel the September 26 meeting of Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Advisory Council (UIAC) scheduled for 10 a.m. in Madison.

However, the 1 p.m. public hearing will be held as planned. Anyone interested in suggesting improvements or offering criticisms on Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance (UI) program, is invited to attend. Members of the Council and UI staff will be available to meet with members of the public to discuss any unemployment insurance law-related concerns.

Issues that may be addressed this year include poor attendance as misconduct, part-time work, unemployment insurance eligibility of owners of limited liability corporations (LLCs), supplemental benefits and work search requirements.

Persons who attend will have the option of registering to speak to the council members or providing written comments at the hearing. If you cannot attend the hearing, you may send your comments to Chairman Gregory Frigo, UI Advisory Council, P.O. Box 8942, Madison, WI 53708. For additional information, call (608) 266-3189.
