at the State Labor Building (GEF 1): the building is located
in downtown Madison, one block from the Capitol in back of USBank. There is
metered parking on area streets, a city parking lot in the next block and
two nearby parking ramps. You must use the main entrance at 201 East
Washington Avenue due to security measures. Stop at the reception desk, sign
in and state the purpose of your visit so you can be issued a visitor’s
pass. Conference Room H205 is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by
elevator or stairs.

Anyone interested in making
suggestions, criticisms or improvements to Wisconsin's Unemployment
Insurance (UI) program is invited to attend the UIAC Public Hearing. Members
of the Council and UI staff will be available to meet with members of the
public to discuss any unemployment insurance law-related concerns.
Issues that may be
addressed this year include poor attendance as misconduct, part-time work,
unemployment insurance eligibility of owners of limited liability
corporations (LLCs), supplemental benefits and work search requirements.
Persons who attend will
have the option of registering to speak to the council members or providing
written comments at the hearing. If you cannot attend the hearing, you may
send your comments to Chairman Gregory Frigo, UI Advisory Council, P.O. Box
8942, Madison, WI 53708. For additional information, call (608) 266-3189.
