Wisconsin's year-over-year unemployment rate decrease of 1.1 percent ranks 8th nationally

MADISON – Today, Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Ray Allen released the following statement regarding the latest data from the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showing that Wisconsin's 1.1 percent unemployment rate decrease year over year was statistically significant, as was its 12-month total non-farm job growth of 38,400:

"Today's data indicates that Governor Walker's efforts to connect workers to employment and provide businesses with an economic climate conducive to continued growth are working," Secretary Allen said.
