Secretary to Address Business – Education Leadership Summit in Mosinee

Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Roberta Gassman will address the Second Annual Business and Education Leadership Summit on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 in Mosinee.
The conference, hosted by The Foundation of the Wausau School District, will focus on preparing youth for tomorrow’s workforce. Secretary Gassman will discuss Governor Jim Doyle's Grow Wisconsin: Agenda 2005 plan to support Wisconsin’s future workforce.

Secretary Roberta Gassman serves in the cabinet of Governor Jim Doyle, leading the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and overseeing 1,900-employees charged with strengthening Wisconsin's workforce. With a budget over $2 billion, the department provides training and employment assistance to job seekers; works with employers to fill jobs; enforces worker’s rights; and, administers Unemployment Insurance, Apprenticeship and Worker’s Compensation.
