KIMBERLY - The Department of Workforce Development (DWD), and the Fox Cities Workforce Development Center have scheduled a Labor Law Clinic for area business leaders and employees.

Labor Law Clinics are educational seminars focusing on topics chosen by local employers, such as the basics of Wisconsin's Fair Employment Law, workplace harassment, deciding eligibility for unemployment benefits, and understanding the principles of Wisconsin's worker’s compensation law.

• How To Conduct A Labor Standards Self-Audit
• Deciding Who Is Eligible for Unemployment Insurance Benefits
• Understanding the Principles of the Worker’s Compensation Law
Presentations provide an initial orientation to each topic. Speakers are experts working within the program area and are available to respond to a wide range of questions about their programs. Extensive resource materials such as employer handbooks, brochures and other legal references are available free of charge at the clinic.
Registration for the clinic is required and there is a $75 per person fee. Attendees may register by visiting the DWD web site http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/laborlaw, or by calling (920) 968-6310. To receive notification of future clinic dates, an email subscription service is available through the web site.
