Secretary Gassman to Promote Governor’s Job Safety Initiative

Budget Addresses Healthcare Worker Shortage, Helps Avoid Lifting Injuries

During a luncheon address Wednesday, March 16, in Wisconsin Dells, Department of Workforce Development Secretary Roberta Gassman will speak about Governor Jim Doyle’s budget initiative to help address the shortage of healthcare workers.

Secretary Gassman will speak at a Wisconsin Safe Patient Handling Conference.  The conference is sponsored by DWD’s Select Committee on Health Care Workforce Development with the Wisconsin Hospital Association and other healthcare organizations.
