Unemployment Insurance Advisory Council to hold Public Hearing

Fox Valley Technical College
Room E114 C & D
1825 North Bluemound Drive
Appleton, WI 54912-2277

The hearing begins at 1:30 p.m.

This is the third in a series of four hearings being held to gather public input into Wisconsin’s Unemployment Insurance program. The fourth and final hearing is planned for September 16 in Wausau. Comments gathered at this year's public hearings will be considered when drafting legislation for the 2005 bill cycle.

Issues that may be addressed by UIAC this year include attendance as misconduct, the definition of "full-time work", labor dispute issues and how benefits are charged to employer accounts.

Persons who attend may register to speak to the council members or provide written comments at the hearing. If you cannot attend the hearing, you may send your comments to Chairman Gregory Frigo, UI Advisory Council, P.O. Box 8942, Madison, WI 53708, or by email to greg.frigo@dwd.state.wi.us. For additional information, call (608) 266-3189, or visit http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/uibola/uiac.
