DELAVAN - The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and the International Association of Workforce Professionals in Milwaukee have scheduled a Labor Law Clinic for Delavan area business leaders and employees.

Tuesday, August 31, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Lake Lawn Resort
2400 East Geneva
Highway 50 East
Delavan

Labor Law Clinics are educational seminars focusing on topics chosen by local employers, such as how to avoid workplace discrimination, how to respond to a sexual harassment complaint, and how to appeal unemployment or worker’s compensation insurance contribution rates.

Delavan Clinic Topics

Presentations provide an initial orientation to the topic. Speakers are "hands-on" experts working within the program area and are available to respond to a wide range of questions about their programs. Extensive resource materials such as employer handbooks, brochures and other legal references are available free of charge.

Registration for the clinic is required and there is a $77 per person fee. A registration form is available from the DWD web site http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/laborlaw/, or by contacting Jack Anchor at (608) 266-9713, or email jack.anchor@dwd.state.wi.us. To receive notification of future clinic dates, an email subscription service is available through the web site.
