DWD SECRETARY ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTMadison – Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Roberta Gassman today announced the appointment of Bettie Ann Rodgers to Administrator for the department’s Division of Workforce Solutions. "I am proud to announce the appointment of Bettie Ann Rodgers to Administrator for the Division of Workforce Solutions. Her experience, her passion for public service and her proven track record as a lawyer and human services administrator make her a great fit for this post," DWD Secretary Gassman said. Since 1990, Rodgers has owned and operated the Law Office of Bettie A. Rodgers and Associates in Shorewood, Wisconsin, specializing in advocacy on behalf of low-income people and assistance to non-profit organizations. Prior to this Rodgers was Vice President of C.P.M. Home Health Service, Inc., Milwaukee, WI, and Vice President & Director of Medical Social Services for We Care Nursing Services, Inc., in Milwaukee. Rodgers also worked two years as a Forensic Social Worker for the California State Department of Health and Human Services. Over the years, her responsibilities have included managing and directing the daily operation of a law practice, strategic planning, policy formulation and implementation, cost control, supervision and program development and consultation. She also has experience in contract development and monitoring for health care companies, organizational restructuring for regulatory compliance, and has led investigations of insurance companies and HMO’s Medicaid to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Rodgers earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Welfare and Master of Science Degree in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also earned a Law Degree from Marquette University Law School, Milwaukee. Rodgers will begin her new duties on March 17, 2003 -End- |
