Jennifer L. Noyes to head Division of Economic Support
MADISON--Department of Workforce Development (DWD)Secretary Linda Stewart today announced the appointment of Jennifer L. Noyes as new Administrator for the Division of Economic Support.
Noyes was previously employed by the Wisconsin Department of Administration, where she served as Director of the Department?s Performance Evaluation Office since January 1999. From April 1998 to January 1999, she served as the Office?s Deputy Director.
Prior to that, she worked for six years as Program Evaluation Director for the State of Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau (LAB). Before that she was a Legislative Program Analyst for the LAB for five years.
"We welcome and are extremely happy to have Jennifer on board at DWD," Stewart said. "She is a talented and bright individual who clearly has the abilities and drive we need to continue leading the Division of Economic Support," she said.
Noyes received an M.A. in Public Affairs from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota in 1987 and a B.A. in Public Affairs and Mass Communications from the University of Denver in 1985.
Division of Economic Support programs support the economic self-sufficiency of Wisconsin families. Programs and services are delivered through a network of more than 500 different partner agencies. Annually DES delivers over $1.4 billion in services and assistance. Programs that DES is responsible for include Wisconsin Works (W-2), Food stamps, Child Care and Refugee and Tribal Services.
Noyes succeeds J. Jean Rogers, who recently accepted a position as Director of the Northern District Office of the DWD Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. She will start her new duties on March 27.
