Glass Ceiling Conference

Attached is the agenda for the Wisconsin Glass Ceiling Commission conference being held this Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Midwest Express Center in Milwaukee. About 1,000 persons are registered for the awards luncheon, morning workshops, or both.

Reporters are welcome to attend any parts, or all, of this event. It begins at 8:45 a.m. and concludes about 1:30 p.m.

You may wish to consider the following when determining your coverage plans:

• The 1 p.m. presentation by Governor Tommy G. Thompson of the Glass Ceiling Diamond Awards to eight Wisconsin companies. (The winners will be announced Wednesday by the Governor’s Office.)

• The 12:40 p.m. keynote speech by Ellen M. Gardner, Ameritech Wisconsin President. A news release announcing her appearance was distributed earlier today.

• The two workshops at 8:45 a.m. (and repeated at 10:15 a.m.) on sexual harassment and leadership for the next millennium.
