Department of Workforce Development Secretary Linda Stewart has added 14 delinquent parents to the state’s Bureau of Child Support Most Wanted Web page. These parents owe their children more than $160,000 in unpaid child support, she said.
Their names can be found at dwd.state.wi.us/bcs/wanted/.
The state released its second Most Wanted poster and brought up its Internet Web page in November 1996. Two of the 19 parents listed on that poster and featured on the Web page have been apprehended.
Two of the delinquent parents on the Most Wanted Web page were also on Wisconsin’s first Most Wanted poster. Despite hotline tips on Grant Farago, Jr. and Scott Rageth, they have not been located. Officials believe Farago is in Florida or Georgia and that Rageth is in Illinois.
The poster, released in May 1996, was “very successful in highlighting the importance of child support and locating the poster parents” Stewart said. Six of the first eight poster parents were located, and almost $13,000 has been collected from them since June 1996.
Since the Most Wanted hotline was installed last May, more than 300 people have called to report on addresses and employers of delinquent parents. The hotline number is
