DWD's central office building - the State Labor Building, commonly known as GEF-1 - is located at 201 East Washington Avenue in downtown Madison.

Public and Visitor Entry Hours
Public and visitor entry to the building is available at the East Washington Avenue entrance only during regular office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A customer service desk is located in the lobby at this entrance where visitors will be asked to sign in.
Electronic Card Reader Locations
Electronic card readers are positioned at various other points to allow building entry by means of an authorized electronic access card. Refer to the map below for exact locations.
