Help for Families

Child Care - services to provide access to affordable, high quality child care and early education and to support families in work and parenting roles.

Child Support - includes job placement, job retention, increased earnings and increased child support collections.

Refugee and Immigrant Services – several different programs are available to assist refugee and immigrant families in the areas of employment, education, health and economic assistance.

Wisconsin Works (W-2) - the welfare replacement program for Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) based on work participation.

Wisconsin Fatherhood Initiative - how do fathers make a difference in producing healthy well-adjusted kids? Through role modeling, play, and discipline.

Help for Youth

Career Centers - career development for students and their parents to create career awareness, assessment of skills and aptitudes, and exploration.

Work Permits - A work permit is required before anyone under the age of 18 is allowed to work in any job with the exception of agriculture or domestic service work.

Youth Apprenticeship - a two-year program for high school juniors and seniors that allows students to get their training on the job and get paid for their work.
