
DWD Divisions
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is the state agency charged with building and strengthening Wisconsin's workforce. At DWD, we are committed to creating high wage, highly skilled jobs, and empowering workers to follow successful career paths.
A variety of employment programs and services are available at DWD. Our agency is comprised of six operating divisions, five of which are outward-facing to Wisconsin residents.
Divisions within DWD
- Administrative Services: Oversees DWD human resources, financial management, information technology and general services
- Employment & Training: Ensures availability of a qualified workforce
- Equal Rights: Impartially implements employment laws
- Unemployment Insurance: Provides a safety net in times of unemployment
- Vocational Rehabilitation: Facilitates self-sufficiency for people with disabilities
- Worker's Compensation: Supports workplace safety and ensures prompt payment for injured workers when applicable
