In conjunction with the Wisconsin Rehabilitation Council (WRC), the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) annually updates its State Plan for vocational rehabilitation and supported employment services. These updates will be effective as of October 1, 2009.
The State Plan attachments below are PDF documents. If you need a copy of an attachment in an alternate format (a Word document), please email us at dvr@dwd.wisconsin.gov.
The Vocational Rehabilitation Services State Plan provides a blueprint for how the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will achieve these goals and realize these assurances. The plan also identifies how DVR works cooperatively with other state agencies such as the Departments of Children and Family Services and Public Instruction to serve those with the most significant disabilities and youth in transition from school to work. As part of a strong and seamless statewide service system, DVR also establishes cooperative agreements with Wisconsin institutions of higher education and One-Stop service centers.
With a $70 million annual investment in people with disabilities, their training and placement in good paying jobs, VR services have a positive impact on Wisconsin's families and economy. During the State Plan period, DVR will also be investing additional federal funds received from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Wisconsin's Vocational Rehabilitation Services are an important part of the recovery of Wisconsin's economy and our "Grow Wisconsin" action plan and future economic success.
