On June 28, 2013, five representatives from the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled visited DWD and DVR. The group was interested in learning how Wisconsin DVR uses rehabilitation technology to assist people with disabilities to maximize their employment and independence.
After hearing a brief overview of DWD and DVR, the group discussed the many ways that technology can be used to increase employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities.
DVR Administrator Mike Greco described the technology resources that are available to DVR consumers. IRIS Specialist Aimee Jahnke discussed the DVR process for determining the need for rehabilitation technology for individual DVR consumers. WDA 10 Director Les Mirkin, along with a DVR service provider, gave a rehabilitation technology demonstration. To close the meeting, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Sandra Ellsworth shared several consumer stories where rehabilitation technology was used to help the job seeker be successful.
Since being updated to Office 2010, have you noticed that your meeting requests are not showing up in your calendar as tentative?
If so, here's how to change that:
If you haven't noticed already, the DVR Internet home page was recently updated. This update of DVR's landing/home page was done to give it a more cohesive look and feel with the Department's home page. If you have any problems finding something on the web (or have any comments/feedback), please contact Audrey Merten.

Larnzetta McFadden - VRC, Madison
Thank you, Larnzetta, so much for the TWT experience. I have learned so much the past few weeks! First and foremost, I found that I can do so much more than I ever would have thought that I could do! Overall, it was a very valuable experience and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to try it.
Cynthia Zwald - VRC, Dodgeville
Things could not be better. All the equipment (new tractor) is waiting for better weather. The rain has been great but need a little dryer conditions for haying. The corn and soybeans look great and the hay also. A lot different than last year. Thanks for the concern. Life is great thanks to people like YOU.
Lori Lenhard - VRC, Wausau
You have impacted my life in a positive way; and just that you took the time to work with me.
