Once the IPE individualized plan for employment is written and signed by consumer and counselor, then its pretty much set. A casefile is then transferred to a new counselor. Since the plan was already written and signed can the new counselor remove a service from the plan?

(Opinion of DVR Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Policy Analyst) An IPE can be amended at any time.  If the amendment results in a service being removed from the IPE, the consumer may appeal the amendment if the consumer does not agree.  During the appeal, the service continues until there is a resolution.

There should always be a casenote explaining the amendment.
