Employment & Training

The Division of Employment & Training develops and maintains employment-focused programs that enable employers to hire and retain the workforce they need and that provide individuals and families with services that enable them to achieve financial well being as members of Wisconsin's workforce. It delivers services  through public-private partnerships and a statewide network of Job Centers.

The programs within DWS are designed to serve job seekers and workers, employers, researchers, and DWS staff and partners. Visit www.wisconsinjobcenter.org for a sample of the services provided at your local Job Center

Job Seekers and Workers are those who are looking for jobs and those who hold jobs and wish to advance in their careers.

Employers are those people who are looking for workers. They may be business owners or those assigned human resources functions within organizations.

Legislation and Governance Information about laws and legislation can be found here.

The division also collaborates with other organizations to resolve employment issues.

The Division of Employment and Training was formerly a part of the Division of Workforce Solutions. The Division of Workforce Solutions split into the two Divisions, the Division of Family Supports and the Division of Employment and Training.
