Reporting Instructions: CORe Code 2236

FSET Participant Support for State FoodShare Aliens

Report actual costs for transportation and other work related expenses for all legal alien FSET participants, if the expense is necessary for the completion of the assigned FSET activity.

This code covers the same expenses as codes 2232 (W-2 contract) and 0861 (50/50 local match program); however, it is restricted to use with the state funded legal alien FSET participants.

Examples of allowable expenses are the following:  Transportation, uniforms, work shoes, tools, license fees, etc.

Actual transportation and work-related expenses, regardless of the amount and the length of time may be reported. The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (a.k.a. Farm Bill) removed the funding limit amount and the length of time limit.
