Report all expenditures involved in planning, implementing and operating the activities associated with:
Enrollment/Orientation and Case Management is the process of providing comprehensive information to the participant about the FSET program including offered activities and supportive services available, as well as other information including services available in the community and follow up on the progress of the client’s education or training activities.
Assessment includes structured group or individual meetings with academic, vocational, and life skills evaluation. Assessment may include the use of historical data, standardized tests, and other methods to appraise an individual’s experience, skills, aptitudes, interests, attitudes and personal circumstances.
Academic and Tutoring Services include the activities involved in providing students experiencing academic difficulties with the support and counseling services set up specifically for FSET participants. This may include services such as peer monitoring, tutoring, study skills, crisis counseling, time management skills, test taking strategies , personal finances management, stress management, and other services as needed.
Customized Basic Skills Training includes instruction designed to focus on the areas of reading, mathematics, communication skills, social studies, physical sciences, health and career education.
Customized Skills Training is for high-demand employment occupations as defined by a local Workforce Development Board and consistent with the occupational clusters identified by the Initiative for a Competitive Milwaukee. Customized skills training also includes training on a specific occupation on the demand of an employer. Customized training consists of taking an existing post-secondary education course and completing a review with an employer to determine which components of the course would meet the training needs of the employer (i.e., what specific skills and competencies should be included).
FSET Job Development & Placement includes employment services that will assist the client with resume preparation, interviewing skills, job search strategies and job retention services.
Examples of allowable costs include salary, fringe, travel, training, supplies, and occupancy for staff and first line supervision (including subcontracted costs).
Do not report direct transportation costs or participant supportive services costs on this line code. Transportation and Supportive Services costs are reported on code 0858/FSET Admin Part Supp Reporting.
Expenses reported on this line are reimbursed on contract code 0859.
