Reporting Instructions: DCF CORe Code 0847
Child Care Fraud - Client
Report direct costs for operation of child care client fraud prevention and
investigation services. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Program monitoring;
- Fraud prevention activities;
- Investigation services;
- Overpayment costs determinations and costs associated with pursuing related
criminal investigations and/or error.
- Counties:
- Report client fraud judicial hearing preparation and attendance to
0851/8851 Child Care
Program Operations. Report all other costs related to monitoring, investigating,
prevention, surveillance, contracted fraud services
and overpayments related to client fraud on 0847/CC Fraud - ClientAFTER 0840/Child
Care Provider Fraud Prevention and Investigation has been fully
expended. If contract code 0840 has not been fully expended, do not use
0847/8847.
- Tribes:
- Report fraud judicial hearing preparation and attendance to 0851 Child Care
Program
Operations. Report all other costs related to monitoring, investigating,
prevention, surveillance, contracted fraud services and
overpayments related to client fraud on 0850 Child Care Admin. Line code 0847 is not
available to tribes.
