Report direct costs for operation of the child care provider fraud prevention and investigation services.  Examples of eligible costs include:

• program monitoring;
• fraud prevention;
• investigation services;

Costs reported on the County Shared Cost Report are not to be reported on this line code. These costs are reported on line code 8842 County Allocated Non-Direct Costs – W-2 Client Fraud.

Costs reported on this line code and on line codes 0841 Child Care Provider Fraud Prevention and Investigation Services,8841 County Allocated Non-Direct Costs - Child Care Provider Fraud, and 8841 County Allocated Non-Direct Costs – Child Care Provider Fraud are reimbursed on contract code 0840, subject to contract limits.
