Reporting Instructions: CORe Code 8843

County Allocated Non-Direct - CC Fraud - Client

FOR COUNTY USE ONLY

Report all allocated non-direct costs related to expenditures identified in the reporting instructions for CORe code 0843 Child Care Fraud - Client that are also reported on the County Shared Cost report.

Each agency must have a reasonable cost allocation methodology in place that allocates Agency Management and Overhead and any other shared costs equitably across all federally and state funded programs that the agency administers.

Counties:

Do not include costs for preparing for and attending fair hearings or criminal hearings.  These costs are to be reported on lines codes 0851/8851.

Once funds on 8843 are fully expended, Fraud Services - Provider costs may be charged to 8847/CC Fraud - Provider.

Tribes:

Line codes 8843 is not available to tribes. Tribes need to use 0843.
