W-2 Job Skills Training

Report costs associated with short-term job skills for career focused training programs such as vocational training classes. These must be tied directly to employment or occupations for which there are immediate job openings in the community such as: basic welding: keyboard/data entry; certified nursing assistants; utility installation; office software; food preparation; electronic assembly; child care; press production; entrepreneurial/small business; and hospitality training.

Include related supportive services costs, except transportation.

Skills training directed by the employer will count as part of the required weekly work hours (up to 30 hours per week and should be reported here).

Note: Training that is less than 40 hours in duration must be charged to W-2 Other Work Activities.

Transportation related costs are to be reported on CORe Code 2215 W-2 Transportation.
