Partial UI Benefits Calculator
Get an estimate of your Unemployment Insurance benefits when you work and earn wages or receive holiday, vacation, or severance pay in a week.
- These are estimates only. Calculation of partial benefits due will be determined after a weekly certification is filed. Actual payment of benefits are dependent on approval of all eligibility issues.
- Prior to October 21, 2012, if you work a total of 40 or more hours in a week you will not be eligible for a partial unemployment payment regardless of the amount earned. Effective October 21, 2012, you will be ineligible for benefits in a week if you worked, could have worked, or receive pay for 32 hours or more.
- Effective October 21, 2012, if your total gross pay is more than $500.00 you will not be eligible for a partial unemployment payment regardless of your weekly benefit rate.
- If your earnings and hours worked vary from week to week, you may continue to file and report all hours worked and wages earned to keep your claim open.
Instructions: To estimate the partial benefits due for any given week, enter your weekly benefit rate, the gross amount you earn (include all employers for which you will be paid for the week) from Sunday through Saturday (include sick pay and bonuses as wages) and enter all holiday pay, vacation pay, or dismissal pay for the week in the fields below.
